How do I make a Reservation? You can easily make your reservation online through our website – Click here. You will be prompted to fill in all of the necessary information. If you prefer to make your reservation over the phone please call our office. We can take your reservation and answer any questions you may have.
When can I arrive? When do we need to checkout? Unless you have made different arrangements ahead of time check in is at 3:00 pm or any time after. You will be emailed your key code and directions. Check-out is 11:00 am on the day of your departure.
When do I pay for my reservation? If booking more than 30 days prior to arrival we charge a $200 deposit (credited towards your stay) with the remainder due 30 days before your arrival. If you are booking less than 30 day prior to your arrival, payment is due in full to complete your reservation.
For reservations of 3 weeks or longer a $400 deposit is required when booking more than 45 days in advance. If booking less than 45 days in advance of your arrival payment is due in full at the time of booking.
How can I pay for my reservation? You can pay for your reservation by check, e-check, money order or credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover). If you have booked in advance we will send you an email to notify you when your balance is due.
Where do I pick up my key? Each of our rental cabins have a keypad lock that requires a numerical code, this is emailed to you in your final confirmation. It will also include directions to your rental, please bring a copy with you.
What if I have to cancel? We know that plans can go astray. However, we rely primarily on advance reservations and cancellations cannot always be filled. So to be fair to all, our policy is as follows: If reservations are canceled more than 30 days prior to your arrival, all monies paid will be refunded, minus a $50 processing fee. For cancellations with fewer than 30 days notice there will be no refund; however, 50% may be credited toward a future stay based on season & availability. Cancellations within a week of your arrival are forfeited. There are no refunds for early departures.
What if I need to leave early? All guests are financially responsible for the time reserved; we are not able to provide refunds for early departures.
How long can I stay/what’s your minimum stay? We do have a 2-4 night minimum stay depending on time of year. If you’re looking for a longer getaway we are happy to have you stay as long as you like. Contact us for pricing on longer visits. Click here to check availability and short term rates.
Are the cabins smoke free? Yes! All of our cabins are smoke free with a smoking area provided outside. Smoking inside will be considered damage to the cabins & be subject to an automatic minimum charge of $200 should there be evidence of smoking after your departure.
What do I need to bring and what is provided? All of our Chalets are fully stocked and furnished. Each rental has a kitchen with dishes, glassware, utensils, pots and pans, blender, toaster, microwave and coffee maker, grinder, cooking spices, basic condiments, coffee beans and teas. We provide all paper products including paper towels, facial tissue, toilet tissue, coffee filters, paper plates and napkins. We also provide all towels and linens, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, dish soap, dishwasher tablets, cleaning supplies, garbage bags, laundry detergent and dryer sheets.
Are the Chalets safe for my toddler? Because our primary clientele is adult, our chalets are not child proof and are decorated accordingly. There are breakable accessories, ornate pillows, throws, candles, etc. The chalets are not really suited for children under 7 years of age (except infants). We do, however, look at each situation, individually since all children are different. If you are comfortable that your children will be respectful of our property, we will be happy to accommodate you. As far as activities for children, while there is nothing up at the chalets, we are centrally located to anything and everything that you might want to do, including the Fun Depot (www.ashevillesfundepot.com). We have had previous guests rearrange all the furnishings to make the chalet safe for their children.
Do you charge a cleaning fee? Our chalets are professionally cleaned before you arrive and after you leave. If you feel we missed something, please report it to us within 4 hours of your arrival.
Our housekeeping fees vary depending on size of unit and length of stay.
- 1-2 night stays in 1 or 2 bedroom rental have a $65 housekeeping fee. This fee is waived for bookings of 3 or more nights.
- Full duplexes (Full Berne and Full Zurich) have a $130 housekeeping fee for any stay.
- Our 3 bedroom homes (the Georgia Belle and the Ridgeway House) have a $150 housekeeping fee for any stay.
We expect our guests to leave the chalets in the condition in which they are found except for normal use. If, however, a chalet requires cleaning beyond what is normal or has pet messes we will charge a minimum fee of $50.
Do you provide daily housekeeping service? For in-season stays of 2 weeks or longer we arrange weekly housekeeping visits at your request. All of our units are well stocked with paper products, towels, linens etc. If you need extra, just let us know and we will be happy to provide it.
Do you accept group reservations? We are happy to take group bookings for multiple cabins, there may be minimum stay requirements.
What airports are nearby? The closest airport is the Asheville Regional Airport (AVL) which is about 16 miles from the Chalets. There is also the Greenville Spartanburg Airport which is a little over an hour away from Asheville. Charlotte Douglas Airport is about 2.5 hours away.
